Turning the Table on Small Business Saturday

Black-Chambers-In.-photo_t750x550Ok, here’s the deal….Small Business Saturday was created to boost business in small businesses around the country the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  But when the three of us sat down to figure out what “special” we were to do this weekend, we decided to change things up, we decided to turn the focus not on us, but on others who needed help.

The three of us live by a few simple rules in our business….

  • Work hard, and be nice.
  • Surround yourself with good people.
  • Be thankful for what you have.
  • Always give more than you receive.
SO HERE’S WHAT WE’RE DOING!
We are donating 10% of all purchases made this Saturday (11/29/14) to God’s Pantry.  HOWEVER, You can double the donation from your purchase to 20% just by bringing in a donation of nonperishable food that day.
If you don’t know anything about God’s Pantry, it’s a wonderful non-profit 501c(3) organization that provides food to people in need.  They do not operate as a religious organization nor do they work in conjunction with the government. They receive funding from private institutions and foundations, as well as from individuals, churches and community groups.
To understand the need and the scale of reach of God’s Pantry, this Thanksgiving, they will be providing more than 4,500 Thanksgiving food boxes for Fayette County families, full of all the ingredients necessary to make a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
