We will be taking donations of items (see list below) during our Christmas Open House for the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge located here in Lexington!
In case you haven’t ever heard of the Hope Lodge, it is a great place that helps many cancer patients and families during treatment! Here’s info from their website.
Getting the right care sometimes means cancer patients must travel away from home. This can place an even bigger emotional and financial burden on patients and caregivers during an already challenging time. The American Cancer Society is trying to make this difficult situation easier for both cancer patients and their families through Hope Lodge.
“The Hope Lodge provides free overnight lodging for cancer patients and their caregivers, creating an environment which eases both the stress of the cancer journey and the financial challenge of receiving lifesaving treatment. Hope Lodge is a place to share your meal, share in the evening’s activities or find peace in your own room.
The Hope Lodge in Lexington, Kentucky offers private rooms for the comfort of its guests and their caregivers. Fostering a home-like environment, the Hope Lodge is equipped with a community dining room, kitchen facility, library, and laundry facility. And, most importantly, the Hope Lodge offers encouragement and support from others going through the cancer journey.”
The Hope Lodge runs solely on donations! So any item below on the list, will be greatly appreciated!
