Cleaning TIP….MUST SHARE!

this is going to change your life

Ok, I know that a cleaning tip isn’t really something that we usually share on our blog, but hands down….I had to share this, because it blew my mind!  I MEAN BLEW MY MIND!  It really works!  One of the things I hate most, is cleaning the shower/tub! It seems like I can never get all of the grime out of the textured bottom! And I put fair amount of elbow grease into, not to mention GOD knows how much $ in cleaning product!  Well no more! I tested this tip last night, and was amazed at the result!

All you need is 1 cup of plain vinegar, one cup of BLUE Dawn dish liquid  (I’m not sure why blue is what is suggested, but it worked so I will not veer!), and a spray bottle.

Place the vinegar in a bowl, and heat for 90 seconds in the microwave.  Be careful because it’s going to be hot! Pour that and the soap into the spray bottle, and shake gently to mix the 2 liquids.  Then spray liberally onto the tub/shower surface, and let set for 1-2 hours.  I did 2.  Then all you have to do is come back and rinse and run over it with a brush to wipe it off.  I’m telling you, you’re going to be amazed at the result!

i swear you won’t believe how easy it is.

Unfortunately I didn’t think of taking photos, so I had to find another image online to show you the result, so this is not my tub!! Truthfully, this got it cleaner than I ever did with the store bought cleaners!  I mean it even got the little nooks and crannies clean! I did have to rub a little in a few places to get the deepest dirt out, but it was a piece of cake!

The only downside to this, is that you have the scent of vinegar that lingers for a day or so, but hands down, I’ll smell that over never getting it clean any day!

EXTRA TIP: After measuring out the vinegar with a measuring cup, I used the measuring cup to place the equal amount of blue dish liquid into a bowl with a lip so it would be easier to pour into the spray bottle.  After the vinegar was heated, I placed it into this same lipped bowl, swished it gently to mix the two, and then poured all of the contents into the spray bottle.  By doing this, the vinegar mixed with the soap, and didn’t leave a ton of soap on the walls of the bowl, and it came out very easily!
