Blushing for Spring! DIY Step by Step

Are you craving Spring like us?  Here's a really quick step by step guide on creating a dramatic and yet simple faux floral arrangement to help usher in spring!  And the beauty of something like this is, you can keep this up through summer!  Our rule is "If you can find the real flowers at your local grocery store all year long, you can use them in faux any time of year", and for us hydrangeas and tulips at our local grocery store are a staple year round!

Items used in this arrangement:
1 Container
2 pcs of Birch that are larger that the container
3 pcs of Hydrangea
3 bunches of Tulips.

Step 1: Start with a beautiful container that fits the scale of the space.  We're starting with this ginger jar.  We just took off the lid to use it as a vessel!

Step 2: We added 2 pieces of birch in the container.  This will add some weight to help hold everything in place because we aren't using foam inside.  PLUS birch is always a beautiful texture to add any time of the year!

Step 3: We added three white hydrangeas. We cut them and put the heads close to the lip of the container.  We nestled 2 close together in the front, and then one "Behind" the birch on the "back side.   If you're putting this arrangement up against a wall and are not going to see the back, you may not need the third in the back, and use in the front.  Always be aware how the arrangement is going to be seen!  We don't want any empty spots!

Step 4:  Add the beautiful Tulips!  I used our tied bunches, and actually didn't seperate them!  Having them tied together helps things hold each other in place!   The bunches came straight, and I just used my hands to give them an "ARCH" shape!  I saw it this way instead of bending, because you want a graceful movement, and not a 90° bend!  I draped the most dramatic arch over the right side and let it drape down towards the floor.  And then added the next tulip bunches, on top of the first bunch, lessening the arch, eventually ending with the third bunch, with them slightly arching with some going almost straight up.
